The Stuph File Program

Featuring Jackie Hogan, author of Lincoln, Inc.: Selling the Sixteenth President in Contemporary America; actress Eileen Grubba from Sons Of Anarchy; & Stuart Nulman with Book Banter

A century and a half after his assassination, Abraham Lincoln is still hot stuff. The 16th president of the United States is the subject of books, movies and TV. He appears in advertisements. He’s revered by why? Sociologist Jackie Hogan has the answers. She is the author of Lincoln, Inc.: Selling the Sixteenth President in Contemporary America.

Actress Eileen Grubba is a very busy these days. She has recurring characters in two hit television shows. She plays Missy on HBO‘s Hung and she’s Precious Ryan on FX‘s Sons Of Anarchy.

Stuart Nulman is on with another edition of Book Banter.  The reviewed book is Rin Tin Tin: The Life & The Legend by Susan Orlean, (Simon & Schuster, $29.99). You can also read Stuart’s reviews in The Montreal Times.

This week’s opening slate is presented by Velma Candyass a Montreal Burlesque dancer whose act you can catch every third Friday of the month at Cafe Cleopatra. Her show features vaudeville, variety and burlesque.
